Kennels

We have three kennel blocks;

The extra large kennels are for giant breeds or families of dogs that live together.

The large kennels are for medium-to-large dogs.
The small-dog kennels are for... well, small dogs.

All kennels are, of course, under cover, and mature trees and ferns keep them cool in summer and sheltered in winter. Every dog has his or her own house with a wooden sleeping-shelf, a carpet, a basket and blankets. If you dog has a special bed or blanket, do bring that along – something that smells of home is always comforting, especially for the first visit.

We have six generous, tree-shaded play areas, where the dogs are let out twice a day. They can exercise solo if preferred, or we can match them with a compatible playmate. We do not mix large and small dogs, unless they live together and the owner requests it. In addition, dogs who do not exercise readily can be taken for walks.

Housing

The kennels are cleaned and beds made twice a day. Fresh water is supplied daily, or more often as needed.

Shared accommodation is available if required.

Background music is provided in the Small-Dog kennels during the day.

Meal Times

To help your pet settle in, and to avoid stomach upsets from a sudden change in diet, whatever you pet eats at home is what we will provide here, and your normal feeding routine will be adhered to. We supply the food, unless you pet is on a special prescription food that is not easily available.

Vaccinations

All dogs must be accompanied by a current vaccination certificate showing current and previous vaccinations. We do not accept any unvaccinated dogs, or dogs without proof of vaccination; this is for your pet's protection.

Vaccinations required are;

  1. Standard vaccination (DHPPI). This is a combination vaccine including Distemper. Parvovirus, Hepatitis and Parainfluenza.
  2. Bordetella Kennel Cough

The Leptospirosis vaccination is advisable, but not compulsory.

If you are not sure whether your pet is covered, please check with your veterinarian.

We Would Love to Have your pet come to stay Soon!
